It’s A Wireless World
Our good friends over at the Ypsilanti Courier have a wonderful article about Wireless Ypsi.
If you can’t read the article online, go buy a newspaper before my mother buys them all.

The Wireless Cool City (Reprise)
Back in January of 2005, I wrote about the Wireless Cool City. Ypsilanti had just received a $100K “Cool Cities” grant from the State of Michigan, and I figured that if I could have gotten my hands on a little bit of that cash, I could have made the Downtown more desirable to the so-called “creative class” by giving it free wireless internet.
Well, things don’t always turn out the way you plan them.
I apolgize for not getting around to it sooner, but over the last three weeks, my associates and I, along with more than a dozen downtown business owners have wired the downtown.
We’re live. It’s there. It’s free. Go downtown and use it.
We’ve already had more than 280 users transfer nearly 19 Gb of data.
Welcome to the 20th century, Ypsilanti.
