Depot Town meetup and install was a success
Thanks to volunteers including Brian Robb, and Dave and Irene Strenski, the meetup and install this weekend was a huge success. We have an outdoor Wireless Ypsi radio installed on an existing antenna in Depot Town and one in the 300 block of Oak Street.
We expect to have a third radio up this week on Maple Street. Once completed, the Eastside Neighborhood will be one of the largest areas with free wireless Internet in Ypsilanti. Thanks to Kate de Fuccio for the pictures.

Wireless Ypsi moves into Riverside, Frog Island parks
Reposted from Concentrade
Parks wouldn’t seem like an obvious choice for a wireless hook-up, but it makes perfect sense to the people at Wireless Ypsi. The free-Internet collective has spread into Ypsilanti’s Riverside Park and is looking to do the same in Frog Island Park later this month.

Sometime in the wee hours of the morning, Wireless Ypsi surpassed the 12,500 users mark. As we approach our one year anniversary, we just wanted to take time and reflect on the past year.
